A cappuccino culture shock

In Australia a cappuccino is a large cup of frothy milky coffee, which I am very fond of. I thought cappuccinos in Italy would be even better. On my first day in Italy I ordered a cappuccino at a café and I was brought a little white pot with a covering over it. That must be the milk I thought, then I waited for what seemed like an eternity for the coffee. Finally I lifted the cover of the little pot and it had strong black coffee in it. It was a real culture shock.

Why some shops lost my business

There are a few shops who lost my business because of their own stupidity.  The first one was a take-away shop that sold me a cooked chicken that was definitely off. Another take-away shop assistant left me waiting for nearly an hour while he cooked fish, chips, hamburgers, etc. for many customers who placed their orders after mine!  It was January l and when I left that shop I was crying.  Another shop assistant took my order for coffee and then talked to another customer for ages before bringing me the coffee.

Cappuccino Time

If you’ve had a real bad day,
And lots of trouble came your way,
A cappuccino will cheer you up,
So pour yourself a nice big cup!
