The Right Choice (a pro-life poem)

Below is my latest poem.

The Right Choice (a pro-life poem)

Sharon was expecting a baby
What would her family say?
The school counselor pressured her
To abort without delay

Fortunately friends stepped in
and did all that they could do
to help Sharon keep her baby
and to make it through

Today Sharon is so happy
that she made the choice for life
As she proudly watched the wedding
of her son and his sweet wife.

The presidential pardon for the turkey

It is a cute custom to pardon a turkey each year. I hope that President Obama will now pardon one of the innocent babies due to be aborted. What is the use of looking after the poor turkey and killing the unborn?

Now I have a word for the Kennedy Family, not all of them,  but only those members of the Kennedy family, who are for abortion etc.  Your wealth, fame and power, won’t be any good to you when you come to judgement before God after your death, so don’t imagine that it will.

Bring an end to the Culture of Death with the help of the Holy Souls in Purgatory

We have to get on top of the culture of death; contraception, abortion, sterilization and euthanasia. This is a spiritual battle.  Pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and then ask their intercession to bring an end to the culture of death. You won’t wake up the next morning and see the culture of death ended.  There will be a gradual process until things are greatly improved.

Help the Holy Souls in Purgatory and gain their help as well in fighting the culture of death.

No nobility anymore in the Nobel Peace Prize

There is nothing noble about a Nobel Peace prize that is given to an abortion minded politician. At least they gave it to Mother Teresa once.  She is the opposite to Obama.  Her words are: the fruits of abortion are nuclear war. Note to President Obama and the committee awarding the Nobel Peace prize to him, there is no peace for an aborted baby.

Do lawmakers know that unborn babies are people?

Abortion is murder whether a politician believes it or not, just as my second name is Ann whether a person believes it or not. Being an abortionist is not a great doctoring job. Many abortionists are there because it is a good money making venture. Fortunately they are not beyond help. Father Pavone has helped many of them in their conversion process and the converted abortionists now help to fight against the ugly business that they were once involved in.
There was a case here in (Sydney) Australia, where a man kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach, causing her to lose the baby, (which is also his child). He went to jail for 10 years for killing the baby and I think that he is still there. This is a correct decision and I applaud it, but  it is in an Australian state where abortion is practiced, as it is practiced just about everywhere else. What a contradiction.  I am glad that I am not an unborn baby today. It is a dangerous time for them. Cases like that of the Sydney woman which highlight the contradictions in law regarding the unborn, at least give a faint glimmer of hope, that there will one day be some sanity and proper protection of the unborn. I have been told on another forum of similar contradictions in U.S. law. It also makes me wonder if some politicians actually know that the unborn are real people, but chose in the case of abortion to ignore what they clearly understood when it came to the case which is mentioned in this posting of the Sydney woman who was kicked in the stomach.  I also wonder what those who favour and push for abortion think about the Sydney woman’s case. It must be a thorn in their side.

Parents go to jail for using homeopathy to teat their daughter’s eczema and for refusing other medical help when that was failing. (The child died).

On the news yesterday there was an item about a Sydney husband and wife who have just been sentenced to jail for several years each. What are they going to jail for?  Apparently they are going to jail for making a big mistake and for the husband’s stubborn refusal to obtain medical help for their daughter. Their baby daughter developed eczema and they treated the child with homeopathy. This was clearly failing, but the couple did not seek medical help. Eventually the child died. Doctors say that they could have saved the child. The judge told the mother has badly she had “failed” in her duty as a  mother. I think this means that she did not talk her husband out of his way of dealing with the child’s illness. We have abortions in our hospitals. That is murder of the unborn.  I do not see many abortionists going to jail.

Abortion (a poem about the evil of this act)

A tiny baby
Inside his mother,
Looked forward to meeting
His big brother.

As he swam joyfully
In his room,
He looked forward to the day,
He would leave the womb.

He felt safe and happy,
In his temporary home,
However people outside
Had hearts of stone.

Their diabolical plan,
Was to terminate his life,
Using as an instrument,
A sharp surgeon’s knife.

In this and other
Similar cases,
Excuses were made
To cover the bases.

Lies to his mother were fed,
As to death her baby bled.
“It’s just a blob of jelly,
and a bunch of muscle tissue.
This abortion thing,
is  no big issue”.

No one told her
He was a child,
An innocent baby,
Gentle and mild.

Some people give better care
Than this to their pet,
When it’s sick
They worry,
And seek help from the vet.

If he had known
His life would end today,
He would have pleaded with us,
To find a better way,

To let him be born,
And carry out his mission
Sadly the matter,
Was not his decision.

The abortion industry
is driven by lies and greed.
Money helps grow
Its poisonous weed.

If the money runs out,
Have no doubt,
This evil industry,
Would soon
Lose its clout.

It matters not,
If the deed is done,
By a knife or a pill,
Abortions are murder still.

If RU486
goes ahead,
More unborn babies
Will be dead !

Here’s more of the lies
That from this industry are spun.
“A child will ruin your life,
And destroy all your fun”.

“Another child,
Your finances will drain,
Get rid of him now,
To stay well off and sane”.

“A disabled child’s
Not worth the trouble.
Get rid of him,
On the double”.

“You already have a child.
That’s more than enough.
With two or more children,
You’ll find it real tough”.

A woman is not always
fully to blame.
The man often pushes her
into this shame.

The burden of childcare
Is not for this man.
It doesn’t fit into
His low selfish plan.

Reach out
To the women,
Who have been through
This Hell.
Help them come to God,
Who can make all things well.

Never vote for a Politician who is not pro-life

If you vote for a politician who is in favour of abortion, you will get exactly what you voted for.  The Politician won’t care about your life either.  You will be too old to live, to sick to live or too handicapped to live etc.  An abortion minded politican will not care about you, just as he or she does not care about the unborn. The unborn are real people just like you and I, and you and I have a duty to protect them.

Saving paper and money (commonsense)

When I was doing a secretarial course which included learning to type on a typewriter, I did one of the specified exercises, which involved formatting a long business letter. The teacher said that I had done it well, but that it should not have been continued on the back of the paper, but on a second sheet of paper.  I have always thought that was idiotic. What a waste of trees.  Blessed Mary MacKillop of Australia had an interesting approach.  She wrote her letter down the page (in the portrait position) and then turned the paper to a landscape position and wrote the rest of the letter across it!  This would have been a bit of a problem for the reader, but she was a very neat writer and it could be read.  Later on she also learnt to type on a typewriter. No doubt she did her double writing technique on the back of the paper also.

She was a greenie before greenies existed!  Now I hear that the USA wants to save money in order to pay for their immoral health scheme, (which has everything tied to abortion)  so one of the government departments there is saving money by using both sides of the paper!  It is amazing that it took them so long to think of something so simple!

A great post on Fr Z’s blog regarding not toning down the Rhetoric regarding the great sin of abortion

Father Z has written a great post on his blog entitled:  The Problem With Toning Down the Rhetoric – And Why We Probably Won’t Do It. This post is to do with dealing with the great sin of abortion.  I recommend this post to you.

Notre Dame University nuttiness

Notre Dame University is no longer Catholic.  They have put pro-lifers including a Catholic priest into jail for protesting the honouring of President Obama (a very abortion minded president).  Why would any Catholic university honour him? No Catholic parent should waste money sending their child there. Send your child to a real Catholic university where their Catholic faith is taught and respected.

Today is Mother’s Day

Our parish priest is on holidays and we have a retired priest filling in for the month.  At the end of the Vigil Mass last night, Father gave each mother present at the Mass, a signed card (for mother’s day) with the following quote of St Therese on it:

The loveliest masterpiece of the heart of God is the heart of a mother.

The card was decorated with roses. I was especially pleased because I have been praying to St Therese for a very important intention and that has given me encouragement regarding that matter.

I know that Mother’s Day is a secular celebration and is also commercialized at that, but Anna Jarvis (the American lady)* who started it to honour her own mother never intended it to be that way.

In this age where abortion has become so widespread, it does not hurt to give a genuine approach to mother’s day, recognizing the importance of mothers and babies. No pope, priest, layperson, scientist, king, queen, president**, teacher, tradesman, etc., ever got here without a mother*** yet mothers are so despised. They are supposed to go to hospital, get the baby out and turn up at their ‘real job’ in the office, in the parliament, on the board of executives etc. next week.

Today is not only mother’s day, but it is also my own mother’s birthday. She has always liked the film: The Song of Bernadette, since it was first released in 1943 when she was a child, so I am giving her a DVD of that film.

*Anna Jarvis was never a mother herself. (She never married).

**President Obama your own mother Anne made sure you were born and grew up.  Let other babies be born and grown up. I send the same message to Hillary and to many other politicians and others around the world.

***There are two exceptions to this. Adam and Eve never had an earthly mother, because they started out as adults with a lot going for them.

Abortion (find out what it really looks like)

It is a good idea to confront people with graphic pictures of what an aborted baby looks like.  Father Frank Pavone highly recommends showing these pictures. He receives emails everyday from people who supported abortion and then changed their position to being pro-life immediately, upon seeing the pictures of abortion on the Priests for Life website. Pregnant women who have seen pictures of aborted babies have cancelled their abortion. Seeing is believing. Priests for Life have been trying to get TV stations to show these images for some time.  Father Pavone does not even ask for a message to be given with the TV images.  The images speak for themselves.  Showing pictures of the reality of something is sometimes the only way to get people to come out of denial.  On TV there are horrible video images of the inside of a smoker’s lungs. Smokers who are hooked on smoking like to switch off to arguments against it.  The TV video images of a smoker’s damaged lungs can’t be argued with. Likewise TV campaigns against speeding and drink driving show the ugly reality of a fatal car accident.  Pictures speak louder than words.

Defending Life (a pro-life programe on EWTN)

I recommend to everyone to watch the EWTN programme: Defending Life that is hosted by Fr Frank Pavone and Janet Morana.  It is a programme about pro-life issues. This programme talks about abortion and euthanasia and how they effect people and give strategies to bring abortion to an end.  They also have prayer campaigns to stop abortion and these are proving to be very successful.

If you do not have EWTN, The programe can be viewed on live TV on the EWTN website as well.

Two pro-life Victories

I wish to tell everyone about some pro-life victories. One of my brothers gave out some pro-life brochures. A lady who was next in line to have an abortion took one and read it. She immediately changed her mind. The girl’s boyfriend was annoyed with my brother and the receptionist at the abortion clinic said. “You are ruining our business”.  If this had been said to me, I would have been tempted to say: that is great! I have seen prayer (said by several people) stop an abortion which was scheduled for the very next morning.
