In addition the souls in Purgatory are in a state of grace and are confirmed in charity and they wish to return our charity to them and because they are in a state of grace (God allows them to do this).

Those who are in heaven don’t need our prayers, but pray for us. We can also ask them to pray for the suffering souls. Saints especially the mystic types e.g. St John Vianney and St Theresa of Avila, assure us that the souls in Purgatory can pray for us and obtain favours for us. Lots of people have had proof of this in getting their prayers answered through their intercession.

Regarding your trial: I will pray for you. It is an ordeal to be the victim of lies and deception. The devil uses those tools to get at people who are trying to live good lives. He does not bother so much with those living in mortal sin. They are his property already, at least as long as they don’t repent.

Offer up all the suffering of this trial for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for an end to the culture of death, for the conversion of sinners, for the perseverance of the just, for all your intentions and for all the intentions that others have recommended to you.

Frequently ask the Merciful Jesus to pour out His Precious Blood and Water and His very best gifts of grace, health, healing and miracles upon every person in the world, especially your enemies, and those who have done wrong to you.

I pray that Jesus will give you relief from this trial.

Where did we get they pray for us? I realized after reading this I never was taught where this came from. I have been told “they do,” but where did this originate from. Thanks so much for your help on this.

Also I need your prayers in the worst way. I am going through something very painful right now and do not care to post it all over the “blog sphere.” My soul is in so much darkness right now I cannot take a breath. The other day I literally had to lay my head on the Crucifix in my home to breathe. It is awful and I will say this, it is regarding deception and lies. I am very hurt. I know you will pray for me so I will thank you now. I am trying to be very still and wait upon God before I make a move on this, which is very hard to suffer all I am going through in silence. My flesh truly wants “revenge.” Don’t worry I am not going there, it is just really hard.

That is what is happening to our babies in the United States. Only the altar is an “abortion clinic.”

Bill Graham said once, “If God does not do something about abortion He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” I know he did not mean that literally, but he was saying, “God will do something about this, as He is not going to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” The thing that gives me as much peace about abortion (if there truly is any) is I know those babies are in the loving arms of Jesus.

It is important to teach people about praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and also letting people know just how much they can help us with their prayers, both in spiritual and in temporal matters.

If we teach others these things, they will teach them to others and they will also do the same.

I am so glad you are doing fine. I got the results back from the mole removal and it is pre-cancerous so I go in tomorrow and they are going to burn around the area. I also have two more “skin tags” removed as they are looking a little on the shady area to me. I thank God for it not being cancer and thank you for your prayers also. MRSA is doing a lot better and I am through with medicine so that is a blessing in itself.

Now to article. I thought that is what you meant but I did not want to comment until I was for sure. I do agree with you that it is important and I do agree that we need to keep our Catholic values, teachings, etc.. still intact while doing this.

I hate to say it but you will not believe this one. One Church the deacon was holding exorcisims on the Converts and posting a look out at the door for the Priest. Of course the Converts thought they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. Guess what happened next? When the Priest went to the Bishop with it, after he did find out, as my friend told him about it as she taught RCIA, they moved the Priest!!!!!

The Deacon was doing this because of the Pentecostal movement in this country. We also have a Catholic Church that holds a “full Gospel” service in a town about 30 miles from here.

Coming from this background the Catholic Church has no idea what they are about to do to us. A whole lot of emotionalism goes into this sort of worship and people truly believe it is the Holy Spirit. I am not saying it is not for others, but when I realized for myself it was more about the tempo of the music instead of the Holy Spirit, that is what began me wanting to move on to something else. However, I never dreamed it would be to the Catholic Church:>)

I believe with all of my heart in unity for Christians all of us. In doing this all of us need to remember who we are and how we worship and what we believe. Of course who knows many could be converted to the Catholic Church. I accept any Protestant in my life, and love them all who are in my life. I never forget though I am a Catholic and most of them know I never forget it.

We need full unity with other churches. What we don’t need is for Catholics to become Protestants in order to achieve unity with them. King Henry VIII and Martin Luther and their crowd made a mess of things. It’s time to mop up their mess and put things right.
